Several people are angry at the group of fans that cheered in celebration of Kansas City Chief's QB Matt Cassel.
Matt Cassel was knocked out cold after a whiplash type tackle, and he lay on the field for a few minutes.
I find it wrong that fans would cheer because of someone being seriously injured. To make it worse, it was Chiefs fans doing the cheering.
Sure, Matt Cassel has played poorly, but boo him while he's on the field playing poorly. He was in critical condition while the fans were cheering. He's a person just like the rest of those fans were.
Fans had hired a plane to fly over the field on sunday with a banner requesting Cassel get benched on Sunday as well.

Drew Brees Breaks Unitas' Record
![]() |
| Sean Payton after Drew Brees sets the record |
48 straight. And counting. That's now how many games Drew Brees has thrown a touchdown pass in. Last night against the Chargers, Drew Brees threw a touchdown in the first quarter. He went on to throw three extras after that.
Three of Brees' TD passes were to Colston.
Sean Payton (Saints suspended head coach) was in the dome to watch, and he stood up and applauded when Brees threw the pass. Other than that it seemed as if Payton thought there would be consequenses for him showing any signs of happiness to the Saints winning.
He seemed to be sitting most of the time, with a blank face. His sons sat with him for a while, and dissapered into the box later.
As for the game, the Saints finally picked up their first win. It seemed sloppily won, however it was still a won. A string of penalties and defensive stops went the Saints way late in the fourth quarter, and with 30 seconds left, the Saints recovered a Chargers fumble, sealing the game.
The final score was 31-24 (New Orleans).
Brees didn't take all the credit, he said there were plenty of people involved in getting his record. After the game, Brees took an elevator up to the suite level to meet with Sean Payton, Mickey Loomis, and Joe Vitt. Earlier in the week the league granted the three of them permission to attend the game.
Johnny Unitas son was also in attendance.

Saints Look For First Win Tomorrow
The New Orleans Saints, after an off season of disappointment and scandals, have had an unbelievably slow start to this years NFL season. The Saints are 0-4 and are receiving more and more criticism every day.
The Saints go up against the Chargers this Sunday, at home. The Chargers are 3-1, with wins against the Raiders, Titans, and the Chiefs (the Saints lost to the Chiefs).
The Saints have proven to be able to stick with any team, but have lost in the last few minutes of every game they have played this season. The Chargers game will be a true test for them.
Along with searching for a first win, Drew Brees is looking to break the record for most consecutive games with a touchdown pass (47 is the current record [Johhny Unitas], Drew is currently tied).
I'm looking forward to watching this game, and seeing Drew Brees go for the record of 48 consecutive games with a touchdown pass.
My prediction is the Saints will reach into desperation and pull through in the 4th quarter and defeat the Chargers after a very close fought game. (Prediction: Saint win 31-27)

Has the NFL Has Gone Too Far With Safety?
First the Saints bounty scandal, and now the Titans. It's not a bounty system, but they have just about as much evidence that they did with the Saints. The NFL has surely stepped up on player safety, but when is the point that they should stop? The NFL is now investigating in comments made by Titans deffensive coordinater Jerry Gray. Part of what he said was "If you throw the football you better bring the gator truck". The Gator truck is the veihicle that carts injured players off of the field.
But don't all teams talk like that? They are in the moment of a pre-game speech, and they want to give the players something to get pumped up about. In my opinion, I don't think they really are aiming to seriously injure someone. Maybe a few bumps and scratches but that's what makes football, football.
At the rate the NFL is taking things, in the next few years the NFL will have turned into a complete non-contact sport, which is nothing like how the game was invented.
Should Mark Sanchez be Afraid of Tebow?

The Jets are 2-2 this season, and discussions have been brought up on if the New York Jets should put Tim Tebow in place of Mark Sanchez as the starting quarterback.
Tim denied speculations that he is angry he has the second string position, and with Tebow in the room, Mark said: "I don't feel threatened to loose my job at all. It's no different, whether it's Tim (Tebow) or Mark (Brunell) or Kellen (Clemens). It doesn't change. I'm really not worried at all."
I believe Mark should be worried. If the Jets play as poorly as they have in the next few games, the Jets will try something else. The Jets fans and organization have high expectations every season. Sanchez also has the lowest completion percentage in the league.
Tim Tebow proved last year that he can be a quarterback who gives any team trouble, not just in the college level, but the NFL level as well.
Sean Payton Allowed to Attend Saints Game on Sunday
Drew Brees will be attempting to throw a touchdown pass on Sunday night, which would put him past Johhny Unitas in the all time record for most consecutive games with a touchdown pass (48).

Sean Payton, Joe Vitt, and Mickey Loomis are all being allowed to attend Sunday nights game in New Orleans. The circumstances being that Drew Brees has a large chance of breaking Johhny Unitas' record for most consecutive games with a touchdown pass.
The league and the Saints are still working things out, however it does appear that the coaches may be able to celebrate with Drew Brees in some way, however their access will be limited.
Part of the reason for Payton being allowed to come is the relationship that Drew has built with Sean, as well as Sean's son, and the rest of his family.
Sean Payton was suspended for the entire 2012-2013 NFL season because of bounty allegations this off season.
